HEMINGWAY'S HOT HAVANA - A Unique Live Theatre Event!

Aficionados of the renowned American writer Ernest Hemingway will rub shoulders with theatre lovers and Cuba enthusiasts during a presentation of “Hemingway’s Hot Havana” this Sunday. This one actor show which offers a rare glimpse into the life and times of Hemingway in Cuba, brought to life by actor, director and master story-teller Brian Gordon Sinclair.
The free live theatre event will show for one night only in Vancouver on Sunday November 2, in the Performance Centre of the Roundhouse Community Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews, at Davie St. and Pacific Blvd.) Doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7:00pm.
“Hemingway’s experiences living in Cuba were the inspiration for his Nobel Prize winning book ‘The Old Man and the Sea,” explained Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba Coordinator Tamara Hansen, “and people still flock to his favorite Havana hideouts. This extraordinary play gives us a chance to see what he was thinking and feeling during that time.”
The one actor show is performed by Brian Gordon Sinclair, a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada who also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Denver. “Hemingway’s Hot Havana” is part of an internationally renowned series of six plays titled, “Hemingway on Stage” created and performed by the Canadian theatre master.
The event is free to attend, and members of the public can reserve tickets by calling 778-882-5223. Tickets will also be available at the door.
